Research was held in June 2006 in Hollywood, CA and Charleston, SC by Lee, Jones, & Pearl Research Group, Inc.  GTL Sound Labs AE 963 was their pre-release model and was contracted to test marketability. Each city group consisted of 200 people in groups of 20 per section.  Each group has 4 person who work in the sound industry (i.e. Movies, Plays, Concerts, or Sound engineering), 16 ordinary homeowners. Each professional  participant in this research was compensated one hundred dollars ($100.00) for their time and were never divulged the brand of speakers they chose. Each non professional participant was compensated fifty dollars ($50.00) for their time.  Complete raw data available upon request. The equipment used for the research was as follows: 1) McIntosh MX134 Preamp 2) McIntosh MC206 Amp 3) Marantz DV18 4) Pioneer 50” Elite Plasma TV. Each group were played the same music/movies and were ask the same set of questions.  Below is the results:
